David Doñes was born and raised in South Texas and has worked in the meat industry for [35 + years]. He started his journey at the young age of [17] helping at J&E Food store; his uncle’s meat market in Harlingen Texas. There he would learn how to cut hanging beef [the old fashion way], process deer and the art of making sausage and jerky. His interest grew and went on to become a Meat Market Manager for Albertsons at the age of [19] then on to a Supervisory role overseeing meat market operations for 26 stores and training new market managers. His later career has been leading the San Antonio & Rio Grande valley in meat sales for a local distributor. He has extensive knowledge in beef, poultry and seafood and it has always been his dream to own a meat market and deliver high quality choice cut meat to his community.

His wife and co-owner Pat, has career experiences in Retail Grocery, Advertising & Marketing, they met while both working at Albertsons and have five daughters and nine grandchildren, they live in San Antonio.
